Double acting metal wiper, design DKBW.
The DKBW profile is a double-acting seal made of thermoplastic PU95 bonded by a phosphating process to a base of SPCC (Steel Plate Cold Rolled Commercial – standard, widely used cold-rolled carbon steel.).The hot phosphating process protects the steel base from surface rust during storage in the warehouse and guarantees eternal molecular adhesion between the metal and the polyurethane under high pressure.

ØD=40 mm ; Ød=50 mm ; t=7 mm ; H=10 mm
Advantages
Very good wiping effect, both internally and externally
Excellent abrasion and wear resistance

The DKBW profile is a double-acting seal made of thermoplastic PU95 bonded by a phosphating process to a base of SPCC (Steel Plate Cold Rolled Commercial - a standard, widely used cold-rolled carbon steel.)
To cope with the harsh conditions of external pollution, high-strength TPU is used that resists plastic deformation.
Since the phosphating process is used, the bonding of TPU to SPCC is very strong.
Thanks to the ideal design of the dust sealing lip, it can be used for ideal dust wiping for good dust resistance and good oil film formation.
Why and when to choose Polyurethane (PU) over standard NBR rubber?
The high-tech polyurethane (PU) version is designed for machines operating in severe abrasive environments – quarries, rock excavations, demolition activities or when working with a hydraulic hammer. The sharp polyurethane cleaning lip has enormous mechanical strength and shear resistance. It literally “cuts” dried-on stubborn mud, cement dust or ice from the piston rod without being injured by sharp particles, protecting the internal seals.
Why choose NBR rubber over Polyurethane (PU)?
The nitrile rubber (NBR) version provides maximum elasticity and smooth, soft cleaning of the piston rod with minimal friction. NBR has exceptional chemical resistance to hydraulic and mineral oils, as well as excellent stability over wide temperature amplitudes (works excellently in winter conditions). Recommended for standard hydraulic systems, steering systems and machines in urban environments where reliable long-term sealing is required under normal operating loads.
