Pneumatic damper type AS
Pneumatic damper type AS is designed for damping /decelerating the speed/ of the pneumatic cylinder at the end of the piston stroke.
Pneumatic cylinders are used in applications where rapid acceleration of the moved masses is required. This implies the occurrence of significant inertial forces, as a result of which shocks are observed during a sharp stop at the end of the piston stroke. The interaction between the cylinder head and the piston at the end of each movement affects the working life of the cylinder and generates noise. For this reason, a pneumatic damper is installed in the cylinder head, which, acting according to the principle of reverse pressure release, increases the working life of the pneumatic cylinder, reduces noise and pressure pulsations in the pneumatic system.
Pneumatic damper type AS is manufactured from NBR 80 Shora or FKM 85 Shora. Thanks to its self-centering, it performs an excellent damping effect. It has high wear resistance and long service life, offers easy installation, very low dynamic and static friction. It is suitable for operation in dry or oiled compressed air (please note that it must be oiled upon installation).
