The GKM series by Guarnitec offer a list of special profile static back-up rings designed for high-pressure performance. GKM seals are primarily designed for static applications where the seal remains stationary within a joint or assembly, although they can be used in dynamic sealing functions as well, offering reliable sealing over extended periods. They are characterized by their ability to maintain a seal even under high pressure conditions and are often chosen over O-rings in certain applications because they are less prone to disruptions caused by rolling. During installation, precautions should be taken to avoid sharp edges.
GKM seals are produced in metric sizes.
